| Finals! Dist 12 has given away 16 saddles in 2008! I bet if I add it all up, we've done way up in the 25K + range worth of awards. From the saddle series, the winter blanket bonanza, the target race with collapsible barrels, Dist 12 has give back huge this year! It was a great day Saturday, a great BBQ (thanks to Jason and Amy Bordi) and great people! It doesn't get any better. For the first time in the districts history, a well kept secret was revealed. Senior Saddles! Due to the fantastic turn out all year, the sponsorships and the fundraising, we gave away over 19K work of awards along with day prizes/raffle items. Each qualified member walked away with an embroidered quilted jacket. We had Bailee Nelson's Super win the Horse with the Most Heart and a tribute to Kylie Barrett's Pinto Bean. I never like to hear of a loss of a horse but when something unexpected like that happens, I like to make mention, especially when it's one of our youth members and she was running him this past year. Not to mention he was in his 30's. That's another horse with heart! Got to love these horses..they take care of us. I wasn't planning on a meeting this year..does anyone want to have one? See you at state - Remember Bolado Park Sept. 28th, Sunday, 1PM, last chance to get 2 qualifications towards NBHA State 2008. Open to all NBHA members, it's not district specific. |
